Site Audit: More Useful Features in the CWV Report
Core Web Vitals (CWVs) have already become a key factor in search rankings for mobile, and with the desktop rollout now underway, they’re set to gain even greater importance.
With that in mind, we have revamped our CWV report in Site Audit, which now enables you to use it in all possible workflows: from initial metric estimation to receiving ideas on improving metrics for a specific page, and reporting.
Let's see what’s new.
Learn What Caused the Issue and How To Fix It
Many SEO specialists find it challenging to define the next steps after receiving a poor CWV score. Site Audit can light the path to improvements!
Now the report shows you what caused the issue, better enabling you to solve the problem. For example, for LCP (Largest Contentful Paint), you can check what page elements are causing a negative impact on metrics and what the impact is.
Moreover, you can see recommendations on how to solve issues on specific pages. Simply switch to the “How to improve” tab.
A selection of common cases for all analyzed pages will reveal what actions can help you improve metrics for the most problematic pages.
Track the Changes
CWVs is something you should always keep an eye on. It’s much easier now that you can compare the results of the latest crawl to the results of the previous one and determine why the metrics were updated.
You can also see if any recommendations have already been implemented. This will come in handy when you:
- Make changes to the site
- Check improvements made by developers
- Investigate reasons for the change of metrics
Use this accurate data to stay aware of any changes before they affect the SERP.
New Email Trigger for the CWV Status Change
Speaking of awareness—how about even more transparency and responsiveness? We know exactly how time consuming it is to keep abreast of all changes on your website. Here’s a helping hand—a new email trigger.
You’ll receive an email each time a web page's status declines (for example, from "Good” to “To Improve.”) When this happens, go to the CWV report to obtain useful tips on improvement.
Export and Share
You requested. We delivered. The export feature is now available for the CWV Report! Export your data to PDF in a few clicks and share it.
We’ve also added new CWV widgets to the My Reports tool.
